About hotel Raecks
Raecks' staff will happily be of service during the business hours of 07:30-00:00.
In the evening, you can retreat to your room and relax, but the more fun choice is to hit the city, or enjoy a glass of wine downstairs in Raecks' winebar. As Raecks is located right in the centre of the city, everything Haarlem has to offer is within your vicinity.
Raecks hotel is housed in a scheduled historic monument, dating back to 1906. Renowned architect Jacob van den Ban designed the facade of the building, commissioned by cycling producer/importer J.W Koopman. The corner window of Raecks' building at the Zijlvest side, right where the wine dispenser cuurently stands, used to showcase legendary brands like Triumph, Minerva, Peugeot, spyker, and Harley-Davidson among others. The building has the honour to call itself one of the first automobile showrooms of the Netherlands! Evidence of this historic feat is still visible as one gazes up to the building's facade at 10 meters height, where an old automobile themed sandstone sculpture is exhibited.
